Select a picture or painting, perhaps a photo you took of a place that has meaning to you. Sit and focus on the total picture or one aspect of it and let the picture stimulate insights and relaxation. Like a picture puzzle, you will start to see different details surface and new ideas form.
A Short Visit
Create a special place where you can take yourself, real or imaginary. A place where you can visit and enjoy the sounds, smells, colors, shapes – a place where no one is expecting or demanding anything from you. Make it a point to make short little visits as often as you can.
The benefits of meditation have been known since the beginning of time. However, in recent years we been lead to believe that to feel the full effects and advantages of meditation one needed to have a dedicated room or space, special scents, pillows and music.

Recent studies have found that people who meditate 20 minutes a day have significant improvement in their memory and cognitive skills just after four days. Some experts say that just 5 to10 minutes a day can help keep stress in check.
